Abstract

The authors bring to life what it takes to be effective working in high performance sport by interviewing four highly experienced practitioners. The practitioners interviewed have experience of leading world class performance programmes and their associated sport science and medicine support programmes. Each chapter will highlight:

- the opportunities and challenges in high performance sport
- the range of skills that you need to be successful
- the attitudes and behaviours that are required in this field
