| Abstract | 2022 Artist Talk on ‘Offering from the River’ as part of Out & About: Creative Weekenders in the CIQ (Cultural Industries Quarter) with GLOAM & Sheffield Showcase Festival. Offering from the River is an exhibition by artist and researcher Dr. Victoria Sharples exploring spiritual and scientific ecologies. The exhibition looks into the permeability of biological and machinic matter. It features site-specific performance, laboratory readings and a collection of artefacts.In this artist talk and Q&A, Sharples will share their thoughts on human and non-human ecologies. They'll also discuss interdisciplinary practice and how ethics underpins collective approaches to making. |
