Description | The Anglo-Saxon owner of this upper jawbone may have experienced severe dental pain from the impacted wisdom tooth, upper left. The tooth has forced its way sideways through the bone, instead of erupting in its proper place beside the other molars. The specimen comes from the Little Chester Collection, Derby Museum and Art Gallery. |
