Abstract

The ‘scenographic contraption’ (Penna 2013) as method uses error, exposure of process and inefficient aesthetics for generating playful participatory actions between materials, space and audiences. Furthermore, it tests how participatory scenographic practice can be informed by an understanding of thinking – not as an individual activity but as one that happens collectively in collaboration with the material and
social world.
