Multicultural heritage and legacy experiences of communities in Derby – Winters Wounder Land Documentary

Winters Wounderland Documentary & The Alternative Archive Derby Museums Project seeks to reveal previously untold narratives from Derby's South Asian communities, with the goal of creating an archive that enhances the city's heritage records and the collective history of its inhabitants. This initiative will spotlight the vital role that the Asian community has played in shaping the city's cultural and economic landscape. Through tales of the trailblazers who migrated to and established roots in Derby, overcoming challenges and biases to contribute to the city's growth and development, the project will showcase their significant impact.

Both online and exhibition formats will provide access to the archive, with the exhibition scheduled for 2025.
