Abstract | Rel is a free, open-source, cross-platform, true relational database management system that implements C J Date and Hugh Darwen's Tutorial D database language. First released in 2004, this version 3.000 release provides a significantly revamped graphical user interface, a graphical query language, and a native look-and-feel on Windows, Linux and OS X. Rel is primarily intended for research and education, but is increasingly an effective alternative to commercial desktop database management systems. |
