| Abstract | This chapter sets the scene for the rest of the book by defining what we mean when we use the term ‘person-centred care’. It considers international drivers for person-centred care, and how they impact on imaging and radiotherapy services. It provides a brief overview of some of the researchers currently active in the person-centred care space in radiography, and their work. Finally, it provides a rationale for using the term ‘person’ rather than ‘patient’. |
