Abstract | In the realm of public engagement and the pursuit of inclusivity, the poster was an immersive experience for attendees: a journey where the power of dance converged with the clinicla research in 'Long Covid Diaries.' Through this poster, the objective was to raise public awareness about the impact of Long Covid while emphasising inclusivity and change in practice. The contribution was a 'live' poster, breaking convention from traditional research posters, showcasing the arts in the way it was designed to be witnessed. It aligned with the conference themes, addressing inclusivity, creating change, and influencing others. It challenged the barriers that reinforced inequality, making the invisible struggles of Long Covid patients visible. It aimed to generate empathy, inspire action, and advocate for changes in how Long Covid is supported and researched. It hoped to spark discussions about the transformative potential of art in engagement practices, making a more inclusive and understanding society while encouraging action, outcomes, and change. By bringing the power of dance and storytelling to the forefront, it aspired to motivate others to embrace innovative approaches in their practices. **'Long Covid Diaries' was a work commissioned by Shedding Light on Long Covid. It created a narrative of the stories of Long Covid patients, communicated through dance. Using clinical data from the university's respiratory team, it encapsulated the experiences, struggles, and triumphs of these individuals. By fusing scientific research with artistic expression, it provided an unconventional and impactful perspective on Long Covid. |
