| Description | Fisher was invited by Head of Visual Arts Programming, Neil Walker to develop a new body of work for a solo exhibition, 'a space in a space in a space' at Angear Gallery, Lakeside Arts Centre, University of Nottingham, Nottingham 7 May - 26 June 2022. Fisher referenced a series of collage works, 'Abandoned Spaces' as his starting point for this new body of work. For his solo exhibition Fisher presented a new series of large scale architectural stitched paintings (wall hangings) that employ a formal abstract language to explore ideas of pictorial disruption and spatial collapse through an investigation of the architectural ruin. |
