Abstract

The chalk drawings created were in response to exploring the relationship between body through breath and past life. The act of drawing through alternative gestures and use of the body and the relationship between writing as a female form and act. It explored the fragile nature of writing through the material relationship to paper and the non linear and use of the fold and the edges.

The work provoked a discourse as to the conditions and gestures that precede writing.
