| Abstract | This study explores the experiences of career practitioners delivering career guidance using digital technology during the coronavirus pandemic 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. This explored how practitioners experienced and understood using digital technology to deliver career guidance and how this interacted with their professional identities. This research made use of a Bakhtinian analytical approach to draw out tensions. Particular focus was paid to tensions and debates between practitioners where career guidance practitioners presented different and contradictory understandings of using digital technology. The study highlighted tensions relating to access, working alliances and interactivity and how these related to different understandings of embodiment and agency. |
