| Abstract | The design and construction sectors contribute considerably to global carbon emissions, with buildings accounting for almost 40%. This highlights the critical need for novel approaches to reducing emissions and improving environmental sustainability in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) business. The worldwide architectural community has recognised its responsibilities in addressing climate change by using sophisticated technology such as photovoltaic materials, with the goal of constructing energy-self-sufficient buildings. However, obstacles remain in achieving the aims of sustainable architecture due to inconsistencies between design intents and real-world performance, known as prediction, expectations, and result gaps. Artificial intelligence (AI) appears as a viable technique for improving the early phases of sustainable architecture design by analysing data on energy use and environmental effect. Nonetheless, the deployment of AI presents ethical and collaborative issues, demanding thorough legal frameworks for its ethical application. Despite these hurdles, the industry is committed to lowering operational costs and fostering environmental stewardship. To achieve sustainability goals, inherent design implementation issues have to be overcome, as well as the potential of AI harnessed ethically. The activities demonstrate a dedication to environmental stewardship, which sits at the nexus of innovation, social well-being, and ecological integrity. |
