| Abstract | This chapter introduces a view of the enablers focusing on digital assets and organisational capabilities that support blockchain adoption. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to propose enablers of blockchain adoption model in organisations. To bind the review the authors based their investigation on the well-grounded theory of adoption: unified theory of acceptance and use of technology. The authors articulate their model to include six key drivers. These are the influences of decentralised finance and tokenisation using public blockchains. The enabling forces of macro drivers and the evolution of the blockchain ecosystem. Organisational level enablers that include leadership and strategy and organisational readiness: Processes and operation management decisions. Organisational enablers also include the competency and training of people within the organisation to support adoption. This chapter concludes with a summary of the enabling factors of blockchain and areas for further investigation. |
