Abstract | This research sought to evaluate one country’s award-winning model for inclusion in the early years. This study adopted an interpretivist, mixed methods approach which focuses on drawing out the meanings used by social actors as they live their daily lives (Scott, 2017). Overall, 2,000+ stakeholders participated in the study. As this research project comprised of multiple research aims, this paper focusses on just one element of the research: the perspectives’ of research participants viewed through the lens of funding inclusion. A key focus for this paper is the valorisation of some forms of targeted (input) funding but not others, in this case the funding of additional staffing at the point of need. |
