Abstract | Research shows that spending time in nature is good for us. It is good for our wellbeing and for our physical and mental health. The closer we feel to nature, the happier we are, and the more likely we are to look after wildlife and the environment. Taking part in activities that increase our connection to nature can help to enhance these benefits. Being connected to nature is something that can start right from birth and this handbook includes a range of activities designed for families and carers who have babies and young children.
